Today I have a simple, easy four-step system that you can use to create great audio messages and voice notes for your outreach. A lot of people are holding back from using audio messages or voice notes. Whether you have an established business or even a small empire of teams and companies working for you one of your most crucial skills is going to be cultivating and maintaining high-quality relationships that can advance you.
One of the most powerful ways that I am able to consistently cultivate and reach out and create new relationships so there are always new opportunities my way, comes from having a nice consistent process of reaching out to people and always drumming up new opportunities. One of my favorite ways to do that is by sending good voice notes.
We discuss:
- [01:55] One of the most powerful ways that I am able to consistently cultivate and reach out and create new relationships so there are always new opportunities my way, comes from having a nice consistent process of reaching out to people and always drumming up new opportunities.
- [02:33] There are a couple of pros and cons to voice notes. Voice notes can save a lot of time versus writing.
- [03:09] You can send messages while you are on the go. It feels more personal to send a voice message and there are opportunities to bring your personality forward.
- [04:13] There is a small subset of people that don’t like audio messages and they won’t listen to them. Those that have really big social media followings tend not to like voice messages and they tend to get missed often.
- [05:08] Voice messages can be hard to get back to and keep track of.
- [05:55] Kyle has a four-step system that you can use to send a powerful voice message in less than a minute.
- [06:21] Say their name in the greeting. There is something very powerful about hearing your own name spoken. If you have a personal connection check in on that detail.
- [08:17] Build the bridge and create a personal connection. This is one of the most critical and subtle steps in a voice message. Give them a glimpse into our life that is meant to enhance the relationship.
- [09:16] Talking about the wins around you positions you as somebody who is creating opportunities.
- [11:27] A quirky detail might help them see you as more human and can act as a conversation point. You can also give an update on a past conversation.
- [13:47] Another idea is to mention somebody you would want to introduce them to and offer to connect them. Mention something that reminded you of them.
- [14:38] We don’t always want to be just asking for things or offering things. We want to make sure that we are building a real relationship.
- [14:53] Make the ask or the offer. We can present what we want to ask or offer to them. Make sure to share the benefits for them and their audience.
- [15:46] Give them an easy next step to say yes to. You want to make it as easy and clear as possible.
- [17:01] Give this some practice and you’re going to start seeing more results in your business.
- [17:26] Catch your breath before you send an audio note. You don’t want to run out of breath.
- [17:43] Start over again as much as you need.
- [18:34] Background noise can help or hurt. There is good background noise.
- [20:15] The most important tip is to follow up. Follow way more than you think is necessary. Make a habit of following up and be consistent.
- [21:51] If we are persistent sooner or later there is an opening and that is why these voice messages are so essential because they allow you to continuously build relationships.
