Today on the show we are going to be learning how he does that, how he develops his teams, how he works with his teams, and how he can help people just like you build incredibly talented teams on a budget I don’t think you thought was possible.
We discuss:
- [02:19] Frank shares his defining moment. One of the biggest turning points in his life was when he decided he would step into his personal brand and be a world traveler.
- [06:10] When it comes to being a digital nomad, it’s the crash course for being a successful entrepreneur. You are constantly problem-solving. New experiences force us to think outside of the box.
- [07:59] It all starts with your centralized communication. You have to have a way internally to communicate with your team and externally to communicate to your clients, service providers, vendors, and other partners you may have in the business.
- [08:39] I would never hire anybody from America in 99.9% of cases. The reason is because I am a capitalist and if someone is providing a service I want to go where I get the best quality of service and the lowest rate.
- [10:53] Everybody has a couple of unique skills that they are really good at that cost a low amount of energy but it yields a very high result.
- [12:58] If your people are not critical thinkers you want to look at yourself first and take ownership internally and really look at your actions.
- [16:31] One of the biggest problems that I see especially with businesses in the start-up mode is that they ask too much of people that they shouldn’t be asking them for.
- [18:10] If you create a career path for your talent inside your business you can actually retain talent long-term and force them to level up.
- [21:06] It is a collaborative process. When you are setting up a career path for people inside your business you actually want to have questions to get their feedback.
- [23:25] All businesses are three things: marketing, operations, and finance. If you take specific people with specific skill sets inside of these three areas then you get consistent results in those areas.
- [25:13] If you build systems, processes, workflows, and a position then that is what allows you to have people join your mission and allows you to attract the right people.
- [27:37] If you can make a dollar, you can make a million. If you have a winning product or service where somebody will pay you money then you have the opportunity to scale that business. You can scale that business if you choose.
