Creating A Story with Kimberly Kesting
Subscribe To The Podcast
Today on the show we have Kimberly Kesting and we are going to be doing a little bit different interview style than what I typically do on the show. I am going to take Kimberly through a process that I call a Story Roadmap Session where I ask my clients and potential clients about their story, who their ideal client is, and I gather enough information to create a story on the recording for this coach or client to use in their business.
I incorporate a lot of the frameworks and systems that I teach in my private program and my group program Story Pro to create this story with people as they are sharing information about their clients and their lives. This is a fun glimpse into what it’s like to work with me and you will get to see me draw out a story from Kimberly, who works with the Enlifted Coaching Certification program.
We discuss:
- [02:19] Kyle is going to walk Kimberly through a story roadmap process as we are going to discover the product and services that you are working with to create a story with it.
- [03:23] Kimberly shares about her products and services.
- [04:23] At some point your technical knowledge is not enough to create the transformation. We have to address the internal dialogue and mindset.
- [07:35] They dig a little deeper into the experience of being a coach before Enlifted.
- [09:42] If you are drama bonding you are not going to make any sales. If you are taking on their drama stories you are not only not serving them but you are actually harming them.
- [12:26] They dig deeper into client frustrations.
- [14:44] Praise can be almost as painful or as reaction-causing as an insult for some people.
- [15:24] Next, they look at times when Kimberly has dealt with imposter syndrome.
- [18:06] She shares a specific day in her life when she was really dealing with imposter syndrome when she was traveling in Mexico.
- [22:37] Kimberly shares a time when she was feeling like she was making an impact and was aligned in her life.
- [25:47] A lot of times when you look up at a beautiful mountain range, it inspires you, lights you up, and fills you with energy.
- [25:51] Kyle shares the story he created with all the information Kimberly had shared with him.
- [33:14] The real gift that a coach can provide for somebody is to be able to shift their story about what is possible for them and help them find a new way.
- [35:31] It is our duty to get them to believe enough in themselves that this result can happen so that they can take them through the rest of the results.
- [35:43] Your sales call is your first coaching session.
