On today’s episode, Dr. Justin Moseley is joining us. Dr. Justin started his career as a chiropractor. Today we are going to talk about the moment he really realized he wasn’t playing as big as he could be, what he did to create and pursue a bigger vision for himself than he ever thought possible, and what came from beyond that. Creating a big vision like this can be challenging and scary and that is exactly what you want it to be. We are going to dive in on how you can create that for yourself and how you can share that in everything you are doing from being on the stage to being on a short social media clip.
Dr. Justin Moseley started his first business when he was 16 years old. Over the next twenty years, he would move from a video production company of his own to open his first chiropractic practice, which would, in turn, become a launching pad for his highly influential personal growth and mindset coaching. Dr. Justin credits his entrepreneurial success to vigorously studying personal growth for over twenty years—reading 100 books annually— and developing an empowering mindset under the mentorship and wisdom of experts such as Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, T. Harv Eker, Dr. Patrick Flynn, and Dr. Josh Axe.
We discuss:
- [02:09] Justin shares his defining moment in 2018 on a men’s retreat.
- [03:51] If you could do anything in the world, money wasn’t an issue, you wanted to do what brings you joy - what would you do?
- [04:06] You have a story to tell and there are people out there waiting for your story.
- [08:20] We have to keep that bigger vision in mind.
- [10:22] One thing that holds us back is the story we keep telling ourselves about why we can’t have it. We need to be energetically aligned with the vision we create.
- [10:57] Create a vision and role play that in your mind. What would it feel like?
- [12:25] Storytelling is a skill. You can model success by looking at great storytellers or hire a coach.
- [13:11] The story is already in us. We just don’t know how to tell it properly and in the right format to actually make people move. You want people to remember what you say and then take action. It is the actions that will actually change a life.
- [14:20] Picking a topic that actually brings you joy is huge. Then it is all about showing up.
- [16:37] People often overthink the next step when often it is to just show up. Done is better than perfect.
- [19:21] The stories that we have of our past are all there to serve a purpose in your life.
- [20:09] Use your past traumas to serve you. Maybe there is a story in there that is going to speak to someone else.
- [23:24] Process the things that have happened in your life. There is a story there and it is going to speak to someone.
- [24:19] It is when you start getting vulnerable that people relate to you. Money exchanges hands when problems are solved. Problems are solved when people relate to you.
- [27:01] Be really clear on who you are speaking to and be vulnerable. Repurpose content and use stories.
- [31:22] You can have a connection with a person by showing your vulnerability. They are not trying to get their problem solved, they really want to connect with you.
- [32:37] Everybody has a story to tell. People are playing life way too small. There is a whole other level you can go to. People need you to show up at the highest level possible. Your story is going to change lives, have an impact, and make a difference.
