On today’s episode, we have Jeremy Slate. Jeremy is one of my oldest entrepreneur friends and his podcast was the first podcast I was ever on about five years ago. We have been friends, colleagues, and collaborators ever since. He has interviewed hundreds if not thousands of great minds in many different areas. He has really been working on distilling everything he has learned into one powerful book called Extraordinary. We are going to learn about what it takes to be extraordinary in this episode.

- [23:34] Extraordinary people look at what is comfortable and they are willing to go harder and longer and that goes back to adversity. Everything you want is on the other side of that discomfort.
- [25:26] We have lost grit in a lot of ways and we are trying to figure out how to get it back.
- [26:42] We are capable of doing a lot of things. In terms of ROI, does it make a lot of sense for me to be doing some of these things myself?
- [29:16] Any tasks you are going to give away have to be well detailed. It is important to have an SOP so you can give it away in the right way.
- [29:52] You don’t have to be able to do everything in your business, but you need to know how it functions so you can guide the ship.
- [32:44] You have to be willing to tell your story.
- [34:04] He is looking for the place where he can speak his truth and feed his soul, but at the same time show the people that need help that he is there to help.
- [35:18] When you want to be extraordinary or you want to be that next level, you have to realize that no one is going to do it for you. The total responsibility comes back to you. You have a lot more control over your life than you think.
