SEP Episode #167: Living the Long Game

Today we are talking about the long run – the marathon. Something that I used to think starting this entrepreneurial journey and something that held me back from starting down this road for quite some time was this idea of starting this entrepreneurial journey and only focusing on the long run that I would be going through years and years of hell and poverty before things actually started working.

If it’s not some bitcoin millionaire success story, it’s hoping that you get this one business idea that is a perfect bullseye right out of the gate and you become an overnight success. We hear lots and lots of stories like that or at least stories that seem that way. Our success is usually a result of spending a lot of time creating different businesses, testing lots of ideas, failing, developing a network, a skillset, and an understanding of the market that allows us to nail it. In this episode, we are going to talk about short game mistakes and how to focus on the long game.

SEP Episode #165: Kyle Gets Interviewed – Stories From The Story Engine

Today on the show, we are going to have ME so to speak. I am going to get out of the interviewer’s seat and get into the interviewee’s seat. I have an amazing guest interviewer in Kirsten Trammell from Evolved Podcasting. She has been a friend of mine for a while and is an excellent podcast host and producer.

I wanted to share some more of the stories that happened behind the scenes of the podcast of what I am doing and what motivates me that I may not have fully expressed in my monologue or in the interviews where I am usually much more focused on my own guest. I thought that it was a cool opportunity to share some of my perspectives, my thoughts, what I find really exciting both throughout the history of the podcast and my career as an entrepreneur, and what I am seeing in the future. There are lots of stories and perspectives and angles from my point of view that you probably haven’t heard from before. This was an incredible interview that I had a great time with.

SEP Episode #164: How To Make Your Stories More Relatable With The Universal Truth

We are going to be talking about something near and dear to my heart that I often work with my clients and it is a common question from my listeners. What if my experience is different from the clients you work with or if you have never had the same problem as your audience?

SEP Episode #163: How D&D Makes You A Better Entrepreneur With Phil MacNevin

Today we have Phil MacNevin on the show talking about Dungeons and Dragons. Phil is a friend of mine that I have had in the entrepreneurial world for many years now. I have known him as a copywriter, brilliant operations manager in several companies, start-ups, and growing his own businesses and brands. Most recently Dungeons and Dragons miniatures which has landed him in an entirely new industry of tabletop gaming.

So Phil has a lot of the same roots in entrepreneurship, coaching, leadership, and personal development and is now exploring the world of gaming. I find that the way that these two worlds interact is really fascinating and powerful and a much-needed tool for entrepreneurs these days. There are a lot of benefits that you can get through playing a role-playing game such as Dungeons & Dragons. That is what we are going to be talking about with Phil today.

SEP Episode #162: Magnetic Messaging Secrets To Grow Your Brand With Kristin Thomas

At the beginning of this year in February, I put on a summit called The High Ticket Wellness Summit. It had thousands of attendees, dozens of speakers, and a ton of incredible information on how to grow a business, get your message out there and attract more customers. Of the dozens of speakers, there were a few talks that really stood out, made an impact on me, and that I thought were exceptionally valuable.
One of the people that I have a huge admiration for in the health and wellness space because of her own story and her own health journey as well as the brilliance in how she shows up in her work is Kristin Thomas. She was one of the first ones to be interviewed and it was for very good reason because she is absolutely incredible in how she does her messaging and she is an amazing teacher. She is getting new health coaches success all the time in her programs by just teaching them to communicate better on social media, emails, and wherever else they share their message.

This talk is all about health and wellness entrepreneurs but even if you aren’t a health and wellness entrepreneur this information is still going to be able to have a big impact on your business especially if you are just getting started, going through a pivot, or if you have been at this a while and still don’t feel like you know what your message is.
