Today on the show we have Eric Patton and we are going to be doing a little bit different and a little bit special. I am going to be giving you a glimpse into what it is like to work with me in a 1 on 1 setting. These are recorded story roadmap sessions. I am going to take Eric, who is a coach in human design, a formula of ancient principles that are used to understand yourself on a deeper level and better navigate your life.
I will be asking him questions about his ideal client, who and how he loves to serve them, and some stories from his own life that reflect their experience. There are some really incredible stories to be heard and told here and I hope you enjoy the process of this story road map session.
We discuss:
- [02:35] Today I am going to be walking Eric through a story roadmap session. This is a process that I work through with a lot of my clients in creating an origin story.
- [03:10] Eric shares about himself and the product/service he is offering to the world right now. He is a human design integration coach.
- [03:38] He shares about his childhood home catching on fire the same day they were leaving to get married in Tahiti.
- [04:11] They spent their first 10 days of marriage really appreciating and figuring out ways they were going to contribute to society. When they came back that is when he first learned about human design.
- [05:34] A lot of the things that people are misaligned with were things that were out of their design.
- [06:13] Eric shares about the clients that come to work with him.
- [07:57] People that go through life with a missing piece often live unhappy and miserable lives. The fear of the unknown is stronger than the fear of staying the same.
- [09:25] The cost of mediocrity is your life and it is expensive.
- [10:17] Eric shares a time when he was living in mediocrity and experiencing the cost of mediocrity.
- [12:48] He shares about a very low point when he was working as a travel agent.
- [17:55] Eric shares a time when he felt that he was very aligned and using his gifts.
- [20:10] Sometimes you are clinging to a life so hard that you have to burn it all down to change anything.
- [20:41] Kyle shares the story they have been crafting during the story roadmap session.
- [27:10] We are all storytellers. Our greatest pastime as human beings is storytelling and breaking bread.
