On today’s episode, Dr. Andrea Pennington is joining us. We are going to be learning from her as an expert speaker, expert storyteller, and master of self-love. She has had an incredibly prolific career spanning many different industries. - [16:42] When people start to realize that the life they have been living is not actually fulfilling, that is when people start to wake-up to recognizing that they have to love themselves and there is a way forward from that point.
- [19:57] There are some stories that we are telling ourselves that are not true.
- [20:39] When you can take ownership of your story on this level, you are standing and loving yourself, you are creating opportunities to connect, and stopping the patterns, and giving a better future to those you connect with.

- [23:42] We can often turn our painful lessons and stories into blessings and blessing other people.
- [24:46] Humans are natural storytellers. The brain starts to collapse images and stories to make meaning of events.
- [25:41] If you understand how the hero’s journey works, it empowers you to become the creator of your story positively. The hero’s journey exists because it is how we go through and process things.
- [27:07] Across all cultures, we all go through these various stages. Start by creating a timeline of significant events going back as far as you can remember and add a note about the meaning, lesson, or what was impressed on you.
- [28:15] Most of us encounter that magic or mentor who helps us to take that leap of faith or step across the threshold. Then we are off on the adventure.
- [30:29] The hero’s journey helps people who are healing from trauma. When we can look at our life through the lens of the hero’s journey we can recognize that depending on your beliefs you are either the author or co-author of your life.
- [31:17] If this was a hero’s journey, what would the hero take from those painful lessons and where would they go forward? We can author our life.
- [32:48] We each have our own purpose and destiny to discover. There is gold, hidden jewels, and gems to be found in your personal story. Go mining for that gold and treasure within your own life because you’re a gift to the world. Share your presence with passion.
